The Clyde-Apac’s Bio-HEPA For Semi-Critical Locations

Clyde-Apac is a major manufacturer of a wide range, specialized in air filtration and contamination-control equipment for industry, health care, and science. Various kinds of products have been developed by Clyde-Apac, one of them is the air filtration product, called the Bio-HEPA Filter. HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) is a type of mechanical air filter that works by filtering dust, cigarette smoke, animal hair, and others in the air.
So, Bio-HEPA Filter is particulate air filters for semi-critical applications with high-performance dry-type filters, intended for use in semi-critical locations. Clyde-Apac offers a number of pre-filter choices.
Bio-HEPA Filters have designed a continuous sheet of the special microfine glass-fibre filter medium and is pleated into a vee configuration with corrugated aluminium separators inserted between the pleats. This forms the filter element which is bonded into a rigid corrosion-resistant steel frame with all joints encapsulated and sealed in a special urethane elastomer. Standard filters have a closed-cell neoprene gasket on the air-leaving side, and filters for fluid seal installation have an extended frame with a 60mm skirt to engage the sealant channel. Filters are produced in a wide range of face dimensions and in two standard depths of nominally 150mm and 300mm.
The Clyde-Apac Bio-HEPA is available in two efficiencies for demanding applications:
- 95% efficient to 0.3 microns particles.
- 70% efficient to 0.3 microns particles.
Bio-HEPA filters should be the last item downstream in any ductwork or as close as possible to the area being served. Reasonable care should be taken when installing the Bio-HEPA filters, in order to avoid damage.
A manometer, or another type of accurate pressure gauge, should always be used for every filter bank. Using such an instrument is the only way to ensure the full life of the filter has been utilized. Clyde-Apac offers a variety of pressure gauges for this purpose.
